At Google Cloud Next 25 in Las Vegas on April 11, 2025, Google unveiled major AI infrastructure upgrades, including enhancements to its AI Hypercomputer architecture powering Gemini 2.0 Flash and the introduction of Ironwood TPUs for a 10× performance leap.
Vertex AI was expanded with new generation modes for video, image, speech, and even music—with advanced editing features like inpainting and Instant Custom Voice.
The event also spotlighted specialized AI agents for customer service (e.g., Lowe’s, Wendy’s), data analysis (Wayfair, AES), coding boosts, and security monitoring, alongside the launch of the open Agent2Agent Protocol plus an Agent Development Kit and Agent Garden to enable cross-platform agent interoperability.
Finally, Google announced Cloud WAN—making its high-speed private network available to customers—and Google Unified Security powered by Gemini AI, unifying threat intelligence, security operations, and malware analysis into a single platform.
