OpenAI Introduces OpenAI for Countries Initiative

OpenAI has introduced a new initiative called OpenAI for Countries, aimed at supporting countries in building their own democratic AI infrastructure. This initiative is part of the Stargate project, which is an investment in America's AI infrastructure. OpenAI's goal is to provide a clear alternative to authoritarian versions of AI, and to partner with countries to promote democratic AI principles, such as freedom of choice and free competition. Through formalized infrastructure collaborations with the US government, OpenAI will pursue 10 projects with individual countries or regions as the first phase of this initiative.
